Presentation by Mr. Németh: “A SPECIAL MARRIAGE – 30 YEARS OF HUNGARIAN FOREGIN and NATIONAL POLICY” (lecture will be in Hungarian).
The speaker focuses on the interconnection and special relationship of national and foreign policy, highlighting the special role of national politics for Hungarians living abroad, and including the national coherence of the Hungarians living abroad and of the Hungarian community in the diaspora, and the relations between general foreign policy and multilateral diplomacy which influence the situation of Hungarians living abroad, which, through its triple composition, has resulted in a specific sectoral policy.
Zsolt Attila Németh (Budapest): Hungarian economist, politician. Since 2014, he has been chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly and deputy leader of the parliamentary group of the FIDESZ – Hungarian Civic Alliance. Since 2016, Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Chairman of the Hungarian-US Section of the Interparliamentary Union, member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
