Pope Francis\u2019 upcoming visit to Cs\u00edksomly\u00f3 (Sumuleu Ciuc), Romania is a \u201chistoric opportunity\u201d for the region\u2019s nations to come together and make peace with one another, a government official said in Cs\u00edksomly\u00f3 on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hungarian government will support the city\u2019s preparations for the papal visit with an initial grant of approx. 20 million forints (EUR 63,000), State Secretary for the Church, Minority and Civil Society Relations Mikl\u00f3s Solt\u00e9sz stated at a press conference. The government will soon receive a detailed funding request for the visit from Cs\u00edksomly\u00f3\u2019s Franciscan monks, he said, adding that Hungary will aim to transfer the funds as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

Solt\u00e9sz urged as many Catholics to turn out for the June 1 visit as possible, insisting that it could help support the survival of Christianity and the nations. Solt\u00e9sz stressed the importance of the visit by claiming that there have been several examples of increased minority inclusion following other such high-profile events.<\/p>\n

A special pilgrimage train will bring believers to the papal mess<\/strong><\/p>\n

Managing Director of Misszi\u00f3 Tours (Christian Mission Tours) L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Budai informed the press that trains will depart from Budapest, Szombathely and Miskolc and connect in P\u00fcsp\u00f6klad\u00e1ny. The pilgrimage train will continue its journey with seventeen cars and is scheduled to arrive in Cs\u00edkszereda the next morning, where the pilgrims will take part in the Latin Mass of Pope Francis. The train will return to Hungary later in the afternoon. Thousands of pilgrims will be able to travel from Hungary to the papal mass as a result, he affirmed.<\/p>\n
