With the addition of tepertős pogácsa (savory scones) and Vecsés pickles, the Hungarikum Collection now has 100 items, and the Hungarian Heritage Collection has also expanded. Minister István Nagy wrote on Facebook that the card game ulti and Kincsem, the wonder mare, have been added to the collection.
In its announcement, the Ministry of Agriculture wrote that sauerkraut, which is associated with the Vecsés area (central Hungary), is a staple of Swabian recipes and regional gastronomy.
Tepertős pogácsa is one of the best-known and most popular savory pastries in Hungarian gastronomy and preserves the traditions of peasant cuisine.
With the addition of ulti and Kincsem to the Hungarian Heritage Collection, the values based on community and sporting traditions have been expanded. This brings the number of items in the Hungarian Heritage Collection from 162 to 164.

(Kisbér, March 17, 1874 – Kisbér, March 17, 1887) was a multiple award-winning racehorse bred in Hungary from English Thoroughbred parents, the pride of Hungarian horse racing and horse breeding. In Hungary, she was known as “the invincible miracle mare,” while in the rest of Europe she was referred to as the “Hungarian miracle” or “Hungarian wonder”.
The famous racehorse even inspired a romantic movie, titled Kincsem, that premiered in 2017 and became the second most expensive film ever made in Hungary. Although the movie was inspired by the life of the horse, it is mostly a fictional story.
